Hydrated lime, also known as calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂), is a fine, dry powder produced by adding water to quicklime (calcium oxide). This chemical process, known as slaking, results in a highly reactive material commonly used in various applications.
Used in mortars, plasters, and lime washes, hydrated lime improves workability and durability in building materials.
