Coursing brick slips are used to close the space between the beams and ends and have a split brick course at side bearing or between end bearing. Used for general coursing work, infilling small areas and the finishing of flooring onto perimeter load-bearing walls.
Concrete floor beams used for block and beam flooring system. Concrete floor beams are easy to install and eliminate the need for oversite concreting. The system is rot and draught proof and forms a strong base for thermal insulation. Block and beam flooring is the alternative solution to insitu concrete and have several functions. Domestic solutions and commercial use, most domestic ground floors in England, Scotland and Wales use the concrete floor beams for the block and beam system.
The block and beam system can also be used for upper floors. The beams are pre-stressed so can be used in long lengths. The standard concrete floor beams have a section weight of 34 kg/m. Standard floor beams primary use is for residential and housing construction.
